About Me.
I’ve always been a bit nosey.
As a UX Designer, my mission is to ask “why” and then listen and learn.
I love that moment (after being buried in user interviews and research data), when themes start to form - and problems begin to appear - so I can solve them.
No (wo)man is an island, and I take a collaborative approach to design. Bringing the right people together at the right time, means everyone is on the journey together (from clients, to designers, to users and other stakeholders). That’s when truly creative solutions can be designed for truly useful products.
My background is primarily in account/project management within design and advertising agencies - all with a penchant for consumer and shopper behaviour.
More recently, I was a Jack-of-all-Trades* Senior Project Manager at a Sonic Branding agency in London. It was while working on a sonic architecture of UX sounds for a client, that I had an “aha!” moment:
UX Design was the sweet spot of all my skills and interests.

Other Loves.
Aside from pencil and pixel-pushing, these also give me great joy:
-
Music.
I’ve played the piano as long as I can remember. Tragic, classical music by Eastern-Block composers is my jam.
I also sing in an all-female folky group. Nothing better than singing in harmony with your friends!
-
Swimming.
Growing up near the beach made me a water-baby from the start. I love swimming lengths of the pool, competitive ocean swimming, or just floating in the sea.
-
Dogs.
This is my cocker spaniel, Mitsy. She is the love of my life. She’s also the reason I have no socks and a hole in the carpet.
-
Nature.
My true happy place is hiking in the beautiful New Zealand native bush. I am passionate about looking after the environment, and hope to contribute to products that have this as a core value. There’s no Planet B.
Name Dropping.
Some clients I’ve worked with: client and agency-side.
